Before you take the photo
- Use a new photo, not one cut out of a group picture or an old ID card.
- Face the camera in soft, even light, such as near a window during the day.
- Keep the background plain, and your hair and clothes away from your face.
- Ask someone to take it at eye level; a selfie at arm's length can look distorted.
- Read the admission notice for the background colour or any other rule it sets.
Before you sign
- Use plain white paper and a dark pen, and sign the way you will sign in the exam hall.
- Photograph the signature in daylight, from directly above, with the whole signature in the picture.
- Avoid lined or coloured paper: the lines can stay in the cleaned-up signature.
One tool for both files
Admission forms usually ask for a photo and a signature, each with its own size and KB limit. On this page the photo is made at 300x300 pixels, up to 300 KB, and the signature at 300x80 pixels, up to 100 KB.
A checklist shows each rule passing before you download, and nothing is uploaded until you upload it to the admission site yourself.
Frequently asked questions
What size does this page make the photo?
300x300 pixels, with the file at most 300 KB. Always check the admission notice, because requirements can change.
What size does this page make the signature?
300x80 pixels, with the file at most 100 KB.
Does the tool find my face?
Yes. It places the crop box around your face, and you can move or resize the box before you make the photo.
My photo is over 300 KB. Will it still work?
Yes. The tool makes the file small enough for the limit, and a checklist shows every rule passing before you download.
How do I get a clean signature?
Sign in dark ink on plain white paper and photograph it in good light. The tool removes the shadow, cleans it to black ink on white and fits it to 300x80 pixels.
Can I do this on my phone?
Yes. Take the photo with your camera, or pick one from your gallery.
Are my photo and signature uploaded?
No. They are processed in your browser and never sent to a server.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no watermark, and it is free.
