Precise when you need it

Drag or type

Drag the box and its eight handles, or type its width, height and position in pixels.

Works with a keyboard

Focus the box and move it with the arrow keys; hold Shift to move it faster.

Only shapes that fit

If an image is too small for a shape, that shape is greyed out, so every crop you make is a real one.

When to crop an image

  • To remove a distracting edge, a finger or part of the background.
  • To make a square profile picture.
  • To fit a photo to a frame, a banner or a print size.
  • To keep just the face and shoulders before resizing a photo for a form.

Cropping and quality

Cropping keeps every pixel inside the box exactly as it was: nothing is stretched or blurred. The result is saved at high quality in the same format, or as JPG when the browser can't save that format, such as an iPhone HEIC photo.
