Tips for 1080x1080

  • Most phone photos are taller or wider than a square: decide what to cut before you move the box.
  • Keep text and faces away from the edges, where apps may place buttons or round the corners.
  • For a set of posts, crop each one the same way, so they look even side by side.
  • Social apps compress uploads again; starting from a sharp image helps.

Frequently asked questions

How do I resize an image to 1080x1080?

Choose your image, move the box over the part you want to keep, and press Resize. The result is exactly 1080 by 1080 pixels, ready to download.

Will my image be stretched or squashed?

No. The box has the shape of 1080x1080, so the part you keep is only made larger or smaller, never pulled out of shape. Whatever is outside the box is cut off.

Will a 1080x1080 image lose quality?

Not if the photo is larger to begin with: almost every phone photo is, so it is only made smaller. At the quality ChobiKit saves at, a detailed photo comes to about 240 KB as JPG.

What if my image is smaller than 1080x1080?

It is enlarged to 1080x1080, which can make it look a little soft, and ChobiKit tells you before you resize. A larger box, or a larger original, keeps it sharper.

Can I resize to 1080x1080 without cropping?

Only if your image already has the same shape: then the box covers all of it. Otherwise use the image resizer, which keeps the whole picture in its own shape, so one side won't match 1080x1080.

Is my image uploaded?

No. It is cropped and resized in your browser and never sent to a server. It is free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
